The creative process starts with the realization of moulds obtained from vacuum-sealed plastic bags of different dimensions, filled with liquid concrete. By using grills and weights, bags were shaped to simulate the texture of the fabric in order to replicate the sensation of softness and lightness.
The series of unique pieces reinterpret daily life objects in ironic and contemporary tones.
Mr.Tagmi’s project aims to be a reflection on the metropolitan city of Milan, in constant tension between overbuilding and retraining. Likewise, the series of unique works exploits concrete, an industrial and commercial material without any decorative attributes, to obtain a tactful, light and soft appearance. A closer look at both the needs of contemporary design and the preciosity of the object itself.
